Wheels for You, a local charity dedicated to making cycling accessible, is hosting a special event to celebrate the contributions of its current and former volunteers on Sunday 28th September.

The event will take place at the La Valette Bathing Pools and aims to welcome new individuals who are interested in volunteering.

The day will begin with an optional community swim at 9:30 a.m. Following this, an informal social gathering will be held at the Bathing Pools café from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy refreshments while engaging in conversation and learning more about Wheels for You and the various ways to contribute.

“We couldn’t run our adapted cycling sessions without our amazing volunteers,” said Caroline Barby, Co-Founder of Wheels for You.

“This is a great opportunity to thank everyone who’s been part of the journey so far - and to invite new people to help us grow.”

Wheels for You offers inclusive cycling opportunities for islanders facing disabilities, mobility challenges, or long-term health conditions.

Volunteers play a crucial role during cycling sessions by assisting with equipment, providing encouragement, and ensuring that participants feel welcomed and safe.

This event invites everyone, whether experienced volunteers, past participants, or those simply interested in volunteering, to join and participate.
