The Vale Earth Fair will host its annual charity Record and CD Fair at the Styx Community Centre in St Peters this Sunday, 25 October, from 11am to 4pm.
The event aims to raise funds for next year's Vale Earth Fair following financial difficulties this year. Organiser Rob Roussel said the fair represents an important opportunity to recoup losses from the 2026 festival.
"Following the reorganised Vale Earth Fair this summer, we are now starting to think about next year, and the record fair is an important event for us to help recoup some of the losses from this year's Vale Earth Fair," said Mr Roussel. "By reorganising the event we managed to minimise those losses, but it has been a tough year for us."
The Vale Earth Fair Collective is now planning for next year's festival, which will take place at Vale Castle in August 2027.
The fair will feature a wide selection of music across all genres, including classical, drum and bass, rock, jazz, soul and new wave. Alongside records and CDs at bargain prices, collectable items, music memorabilia, instruments and other music-related items will be on sale.
At least nine different sellers will offer their collections, with room for additional vendors. Those interested in selling can book a table for £10, with additional tables available at £5 each. Bookings can be made via email to [email protected].
The organisers are also appealing for donations of records, CDs and music-related items to sell at the fair. Collection can be arranged for donors. Anyone wishing to donate should contact Rob Roussel on 07781 107698 or email [email protected].
Live music will be performed during the event, and snacks along with hot and cold refreshments will be available for purchase.
Admission costs £2, with all proceeds going towards the Vale Earth Fair.
