More than 2,300 people attended this year's Twilight Cinema at Castle Cornet.

Over the 10-day programme, almost 97% of available tickets were sold, with 17 screenings reaching full capacity.

The programme followed the same format as last year, featuring a family-friendly showing at 5pm, followed by a film for adults at 7pm.

Family favourites Zootropolis 1 & 2 and Happy Feet proved especially popular, selling out within days of tickets being released. Other well-loved titles, including Penguins of Madagascar, The Secret Life of Pets and Peter Rabbit, also attracted strong audiences.

Demand for the evening screenings was equally high, helped by a spell of fine weather and spectacular sunsets. Bridesmaids and The Mummy were among the standout successes, while Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Ghost and Clueless also sold out.

Helen Glencross, Head of Heritage Services, said: "It was wonderful to welcome more than 2,300 people through the gates of Castle Cornet for this year's Twilight Cinema. The event has become a firm favourite in Guernsey's summer events calendar, and the incredible attendance this year reflects just how much it is enjoyed by the community."

Ms Glencross added: "Blessed with excellent weather, stunning sunsets and a relaxed atmosphere, the event provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase Castle Cornet at its very best and to welcome new audiences into this iconic historic site."

She thanked everyone who collaborated on the event and contributed to its success, including the technical, booking and planning teams at Beau Sejour Leisure Centre, the States of Guernsey marketing team, and the visitor services team at Guernsey Museums.
