Tourism Management Board awards £123,000 for Guernsey events in 2026

The Tourism Management Board has allocated £123,000 in grants to support various local events and activities planned for 2026 in Guernsey.

The funding, administered Economic Development and distributed by the TMB, aims to improve visitor experiences and increase tourism throughout the shoulder months.

The TMB received 41 funding applications.

Ultimately, 18 organisations were awarded grants to assist them in bringing their activities to fruition this year. The recipients are:

- Art for Guernsey – Street Art Festival in the Old Quarter

- Arts Sunday

- Beanjar Jamboree

- Classic Channel Regatta Ltd

- Cricket - under 19s

- EDABL Seafront Sundays

- Badminton

- Barbilliards open weekend

- Guernsey Air Display

- Guernsey Rally LGB

- Guernsey Street Festival

- Heritage boat display at Arts Sunday

- La Beltane Festival

- St James Events - Global Collection Festival

- Vale Earth Fair

- Walking Festivals

- Channel Islands Pride

- Live @ the Manor

Charlie Walker, Co-Chair of the Tourism Management Board, said: "This year has seen the largest number of grant applications to date, which just goes to show how many exciting events and activities are happening across our Islands and the sheer breadth of what we offer as a tourist destination.

“The Board is delighted to continue offering our support to local organisers and build on the momentum of what was a promising tourism season in 2025."

Economic Development appointed Charlie Walker and Clare Crowson as the new co-chairs of the TMB.

They replace Hannah Beacom after her term ended this month.

Who are they?

Charlie Walker’s background includes her role as the Managing Director at the Little Big Hotel Group in Guernsey, where she has been involved since the TMB's inception as its former vice-chair. Her experience in hospitality is expected to help align the TMB’s activities with the operational realities of the industry.

Clare Crowson, as Senior Partnerships Manager at Premier Holidays, brings external perspective to discussions, ensuring that perspectives from off-island tourism stakeholders are adequately represented. Premier Holidays is also a member of the Guernsey Hospitality Association.
