Permission granted for 42 new dwellings at former vinery site in the Vale

Spending commitments to Alderney and Sark under review

Action for Children seeks volunteers to support young adults in Guernsey
  • Action for Children is recruiting volunteers for its mentoring and Nightstop programmes.
  • The Action Mentoring programme assists young people aged 13 to 25 in building supportive relationships.
  • Guernsey Nightstop provides temporary accommodation to homeless young people with volunteer host families.
  • Volunteers will receive comprehensive training, including first aid and safeguarding.
  • Information events for prospective volunteers will take place on 28th February and 7th March.
Project to install 100m of new water main in Mill Street
  • Over 100 metres of new water main is being installed in Mill Street.
  • The project, which began on 2 January, replaces an 80-year-old main.
  • The replacement follows two burst incidents in 2025, including one that flooded a business.
  • Local contractors, Geomarine and Tarmac Services, are involved in the project.
  • Guernsey Water plans to invest £130 million in infrastructure improvements by 2037.
