A message from the editor
For more than more two decades tidal energy has promised much, but sadly delivered little.
I've followed the twists in this story ever since in 2003 a Nottingham University professor first announced Guernsey could be a global powerhouse, so when another prospect eyeing Alderney suddenly went elsewhere, for now at least, it got me interested.
Our paid members have already read the resulting Dig Deeper piece, so to find out what you missed out on, join their ranks for what starts out at less than the price of a couple of coffees! It's that support that pays for our brand of independent journalism.
Elsewhere we've been mapping the States' spending on land for housing projects, showing what has and hasn't been achieved for that £21m. outlay last term. This will form the basis for some ongoing monitoring as we find different ways to track what is happening with public money.
