The school bus routes for primary, secondary, and Sixth Form Centre students for the 2025 - 2026 academic year have been released.

Parents and carers are requested to submit online bus requests for their children by the deadline of Friday, 4 July.

Adjustments to routes have been made to align with evolving educational provision, specifically the transition of secondary students from La Mare de Carteret High School to Les Varendes High School and the relocation of the Sixth Form Centre.

To submit a request, parents and carers should first consult the information provided at gov.gg/schoolbuses. The online submission form is available at https://forms.office.com/e/ttDXsbBS0x. Applications submitted after 4 July will not be considered until initial requests have been processed.

The transport team aims to send email confirmations before the summer holiday. Bus services will be operated by a combination of private operators and Stagecoach, with details concerning specific operators, along with pick-up and drop-off times, to be published on the website prior to the start of the term in September.

In addition, the trial of the passenger management system ShuttleID will be extended for the 2025 - 2026 period.

This system will be utilised across all high school bus services for monitoring purposes to ensure students board the correct buses. Starting in September, High School students must present their ShuttleID QR code when boarding in the morning.

In the afternoons, students without a QR code may use the service if space permits after all allocated students have boarded. No QR code will be needed for using the service between the Footes Lane bus stop and the Sixth Form Centre.

Parents are encouraged to apply for the bus service only if their child will regularly use it and to inform the transport team of any changes in circumstances. Student usage will be monitored; if a student does not utilise their allocated bus space for more than two weeks and there is a waiting list, their place may be reallocated.
