North Show returns to Saumarez Park with stunt displays and Battle of Flowers

The North Show will return to Saumarez Park on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 August 2026, bringing together agriculture, horticulture, entertainment, community groups and the island's celebrated Battle of Flowers tradition.
Sarnian Roofing Limited has been announced as this year's headline sponsor.
Visitors can expect the traditional range of livestock, fur and feather, horticulture, floral art, baking, craft entries and children's craft displays following judging. More than 60 trade, charity and food stalls will be in attendance, alongside a family area located around the traditional Tea Tent, where tea will be provided by volunteers from Shiloh Church.
The family area will feature free use of bouncy castles, a baby change area, free chalkboards, stories from the Guille-Allès Library and activities provided by Guernsey Museums.
The fairground returns following last year's success, bringing seven rides to the show for families of all ages.
Main arena entertainment will include Paul Hannam's ATV Stunt Show, featuring a quad bike stuntman from North Devon with 25 years' experience riding quad bikes and 10 years' experience racing at British Championship level.
His high-octane stunt show combines precision riding with a multiple roll stunt quad and huge jumps, clearing cars, vans and tractors with no landing ramp. Between displays the public can visit an interactive stand to get a closer look at the bikes and meet Paul.
The MBE BMX Arena Show, as seen on ITV and at Le Tour de France, will feature a dedicated team of professional athletes made up of world champions, British champions, Guinness World Record holders and Red Bull athletes.
The team has over 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry and has performed at the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, Formula 1, MotoGP, Alton Towers, Twickenham, and the stadiums of Barcelona FC and Manchester United.
The Duo Millers Fire Show will deliver a fast-paced fire performance packed with skill, energy and striking visuals as the evening draws in, blending choreographed fire routines with a dramatic atmosphere.
On Wednesday, the Guernsey Majorettes will perform in the main arena. The troupe has more than 90 members across five age groups and has been a fixture at local events since 1992. Its older members have competed in the UK and internationally since 1997.
On Thursday, Ace Elite Cheerleaders will perform. The volunteer-run, non-profit cheerleading club is based in Guernsey and was formed in 2024. Led by coaches with over 20 years of cheerleading experience, the club has more than 60 athletes ranging from four to 35 years old across its coed and all-girl teams.
The Battle of Flowers Parade on Thursday will see spectacular floats decorated with thousands of flowers by local families, parishes and community groups make their way around the main arena. The floats compete across multiple categories for the coveted Prix d'Honneur.
After the parade, showgoers are invited to get up close to the floats during public viewing, where visitors can wander among them, admire the intricate floral work in detail and chat to the people behind them. Afternoon presentations will celebrate the winning entries before the floats light up for the evening's floodlit parade.
A grand fireworks display, weather permitting, will light up the night sky above Saumarez Park following the floodlit parade on Thursday evening.
Around the showground, Titan the Robot will perform. Titan's TV appearances include Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, Big Brother, The Secret Life of a 5 Year Old and The Gadget Show, and he has performed alongside Will Smith, Jackie Chan and Rihanna.
Having performed in 49 countries worldwide and appeared at major world events including the Sochi Winter Olympics, New York Fashion Week and the Chinese F1 Grand Prix, Titan will perform at the show on both Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 August.
Vander's Double Wheel of Death Show features a nine-metre steel structure that revolves around a central axis, with an open-sided steel cage at each end. Two artistes perform on the double wheel, using their body momentum to make the wheel spin faster and faster, which allows them to perform jumps and flips on the inside of the cages.
The pair then climb onto the outside of the rings, where they perform blindfolded, juggle and even skip rope high above the ground with no net, no wires and no fear.
The Grand Auction of Produce on Thursday gives visitors the chance to bid on the very best of the show's exhibits, from prize-winning fruit, vegetables and flowers to home-grown produce entered by local growers.
Main stage entertainment on Wednesday will feature Episode 2, a four-piece band covering a huge range of genres, followed by Fade 2 Grey, who deliver a live show bringing together songs by The Human League, Depeche Mode, Soft Cell, Gary Numan and others. The band have worked with Hazel Dean, The Beat, Toyah Willcox, China Crisis, Pat Sharp and Strange Arrangement.
On Thursday, the Big Band Collective, made up of local Guernsey musicians and singers, will perform music ranging from swing and Motown to pop, funk and rock.
The Last of the Light Brigade, a dynamic five-piece covers band from Guernsey, will follow with a set list spanning rock, pop and indie classics from The Beatles and Fleetwood Mac to Oasis and Queen.
La Fleur Beer Tent will host a meat draw, giving visitors the chance to win a selection of vouchers from Surf & Turf. An acoustic stage in La Fleur's beer garden will feature performers from The Guernsey Street Festival during the afternoon. Crown and Anchor tables will also be at the show.
