  • The programme has awarded over £5.5 million since its launch in 2021, supporting various sectors.

  • Applications must be submitted by 12pm on Friday, 7th November.

The Social Investment Fund has launched the second round of its major grants funding for 2025, inviting registered charities and non-profit organisations operating within or benefiting the Bailiwick of Guernsey to apply for grants exceeding £15,000.

Funding can be allocated towards operational costs, salaries (including multi-year funding), and capital expenses will also be considered.

Since the programme commenced in 2021, it has successfully awarded over £5.5 million to a range of organisations involved in community support, health and wellbeing, conservation, the arts, youth services, and support for people with disabilities.

The majority of major grants have been provided as multi-year grants, aimed at sustaining essential services or developing new ones that address community needs. Applicants are required to demonstrate the potential impact of their proposed activities effectively.

In 2025, significant grants have already been awarded, including £46,262 to Headway Guernsey to cover the salary costs of the Activities Co-ordinator over two years; £150,000 to Guernsey Chest & Heart LBG for core running costs over three years; and £110,000 to Carers Guernsey for management costs for a two-year period. Additionally, the Bailiwick of Guernsey Scout Association received £25,500 for electrical work at Rue Mainguy hostel and its two outbuildings.

Tim Barker, Chair of the Social Investment Fund, said: “If your charity needs funding to develop or continue valuable services which benefit our community, we encourage you to get in touch to discuss your funding needs and explain why your services are needed by the community. Major grants are a valuable source of income for many charities, especially in this challenging economic climate when we know that many charities are struggling to find the financial support which they need.”

Organisations interested in applying for a grant are encouraged to contact Sadie Siviter de Paucar, SIF’s Lead Officer, via email at Sadie.SiviterdePaucar@gov.gg or by telephone at 07781 109899.
