Les Bourgs Hospice has launched a fundraising raffle offering islanders the chance to win a new electric car as part of the charity's 35th anniversary celebrations in 2026.

The prize is a Ford Puma Gen-E Select electric vehicle in Frozen White, with a recommended retail price of £25,041.83, donated by TrustFord Guernsey.

Tickets are priced at £35 each to mark the anniversary, with all proceeds supporting the compassionate care provided by the hospice to people across the Bailiwick. The raffle draw will take place at TrustFord's Family Fun Day on Saturday 12th September 2026.

Tickets will be available over the coming months at the hospice's charity shops and at various community events including Liberation Day, the West Show, Seafront Sundays and the National Hillclimb. Additional pop-up sales will be held at locations to be announced on the hospice's social media channels and website.

Jamie Cormack, general manager of TrustFord Channel Islands, said: "It's a privilege to provide the Puma Gen-E Select for Les Bourgs' 2026 raffle. TrustFord Guernsey has a long-standing relationship with the Hospice and we are proud to do what we can, when we can, to support their fundraising. Many of our team have seen first-hand the incredible care Les Bourgs provides, and we're delighted to play a part in helping them continue that work."

The partnership between TrustFord Guernsey and Les Bourgs Hospice is well established. In 2025, the car dealership hosted a Family Fun Day and 'Drive for Your Community' event which raised more than £5,000 for the hospice. Plans are already underway to repeat the event later this year.

Rob Jones, chief executive officer of Les Bourgs Hospice, said: "This raffle feels like a truly special way to celebrate both our 35th anniversary and the incredible generosity of our community. We are hugely grateful to TrustFord Guernsey for their continued support of Les Bourgs. Every ticket sold will help us continue providing free, specialist care to local people and their families when they need us most."

Les Bourgs Hospice at Andrew Mitchell House was founded in 1991 by Greville Mitchell OBE and Mrs Lisa Mitchell, who recognised the need for a hospice to deliver the highest standards of compassionate and professional care to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones.

The hospice provides in-patient care, respite care and day care to all Bailiwick residents free of charge. A major redevelopment completed in 2011 transformed the facility into a modern, purpose-built hospice equipped with the latest medical equipment and designed to meet the evolving needs of the community.

As an independent charity, Les Bourgs Hospice relies entirely on fundraising and the ongoing generosity of the island community to continue its work.

Full details about purchasing tickets and a complete list of sales locations are available at www.lesbourgshospice.org.gg and on the hospice's social media channels.
