Health & Social Care is looking for two members of the public to join its Organ Donation Committee, which plays a key role in supporting and promoting organ donation across Guernsey.
The committee provides oversight, advice and challenge to help ensure opportunities for organ donation are recognised and that best practice is followed across healthcare services.
The voluntary positions are open to people from a wide range of professional backgrounds who have an interest in healthcare and improving outcomes for islanders. Applicants do not need to have worked in the health sector.
Successful candidates will be expected to attend up to three committee meetings each year and contribute their skills, experience and perspective to discussions around organ donation and transplantation.
The committee is particularly keen to attract applicants who are able to think strategically, communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. Drawing on professional and community experience, members help the committee benefit from independent viewpoints and remain focused on the needs of the wider community.
