- Deputy Sasha Kazantseva-Miller highlights the event's significance in promoting ties with Normandy.
The Normandy Market will return to Guernsey from Friday 10th October to Monday 13th October 2025, transforming Market Square into a vibrant celebration of French culture, food, and craftsmanship.
Following the successful event in 2023, this year’s market promises a wide array of products sourced directly from Normandy.
Traders will present various items, including regional cheeses, charcuterie, handmade soaps, textiles, and Normandy cider.
The market not only allows visitors and locals to explore authentic French products but also creates a direct connection with the artisans behind them.
A particular focus of this market is to provide Guernsey residents with access to French delicacies currently unavailable due to personal import restrictions concerning meat and dairy products.
Speaking about the forthcoming event, Deputy Sasha Kazantseva-Miller, President of Economic Development, said: “We are delighted to welcome the return of the French Market. The market is a celebration of our island’s ties with Normandy and a shared heritage that stretches back centuries, as well as a chance to meet skilled artisans."
She also articulated intentions to strengthen economic ties with France, looking toward future collaboration opportunities.
The Normandy Market will feature operational hours on Friday from 10am to 7pm, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 7pm, and Monday from 9am to 3:30pm. Opening hours on the first day may vary slightly due to travel schedules.
