The Digital Greenhouse has announced the 2026 Digital Innovators Programme, providing local post-16 students the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge topics in AI and future technologies.

This initiative aims to equip young people with essential skills and insights needed in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Collaborating with University College London, the programme features a series of live virtual lectures and hands-on activities, including a Student Summit and an AI Hackathon. These offerings are designed to provide students with practical experience that enhances their ability to navigate future career challenges.

The programme will kick off with the AI Explorer Virtual Learning Course on 4th February, which comprises six live lectures from UCL's subject-matter experts.

Key themes include AI in the Workplace, Ethics, and Creative Industries, offering participants opportunities to build foundational understanding while stimulating their curiosity.

The course runs until 18th March, with weekly one-hour sessions.

Participation is fully funded by the programme sponsors, 1st Central.

John Davison, Chief Information Officer at 1st Central, said: “We’re proud to power the Digital Greenhouse’s Digital Innovators Programme. Our students are the island’s future, so it’s important we provide them with opportunities to engage with digital technologies.”

The programme promotes not only technical knowledge but also fosters critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and teamwork—all essential competencies in today's evolving job market.

Additionally, the course is designed to be inclusive, inviting students from varied backgrounds, including those without previous technical exposure.
