Guernsey Post is gearing up for the busy Christmas period, anticipating significant seasonal demand with parcel volumes increasing by 5% in November year-on-year.

Though the overall growth for the year remains modest at 2%, this recent uplift points to strong festive demand.

Guernsey Post expects to deliver over 750,000 parcels during the November and December festive period.

Steve Sheridan, Chief Executive of Guernsey Post, said:  “Shopping patterns have evolved, with fewer sharp daily spikes but a steady build-up in demand as we approach Christmas.”

Guernsey Post has recruited 10 Christmas casual staff members. The delivery network will maintain its same-day service for parcels arriving at the sorting office.

Mr Sheridan added, “Our teams are working tirelessly to keep everything running smoothly. With volumes trending upward in recent weeks, we remain focused on delivering a reliable, efficient service for customers throughout this busy period.”
