Guernsey Post has announced that it will adjust its postal tariffs starting from 1st April 2026.

The company confirmed that, while prices for local and UK standard letters will see an increase, parcel rates will remain frozen for the second consecutive year.

This decision comes as Guernsey Post acknowledges ongoing cost pressures within its supply chain, which have influenced the need for selective rate adjustments.

The specific changes to letter pricing are as follows: the price for a local standard letter (up to 100g) will rise from 69p to 75p, and the price for a UK standard letter (up to 100g) will increase from £1.37 to £1.45. In contrast, all parcel rates for the Bailiwick, UK, Europe, and international destinations will remain unchanged.

Steve Sheridan, Chief Executive of Guernsey Post, remarked, “Although we need to make selective adjustments to some rates to ensure we can maintain a reliable and sustainable postal service for the island, we are pleased to be able to freeze all parcel rates, locally, to the UK, Europe and International destinations.”

In response to customer feedback, Guernsey Post will launch a new priced tracked service aimed at UK destinations in Summer 2026.

This service is part of the company’s commitment to supporting various customer needs, from individuals sending everyday items to businesses and e-commerce retailers.

“We expect this new service to be especially helpful for businesses and individuals who sell through platforms such as eBay and Vinted,” added Sheridan.

Full details of the upcoming rate changes will be published on the Guernsey Post website on 18th March.
