- Key topics include community concerns about justice issues and perceptions of crime.
- Deputy Marc Leadbeater emphasised the importance of public participation.
Home Affairs has launched a public survey to get feedback for its upcoming Justice Action Plan.
This initiative aims to incorporate the voices of the community “to ensure an inclusive and responsible justice system that promotes safety and security for all”.
The survey will be available for completion over a four-week period, concluding on 14th December.
Participants will be asked to share their views on the most concerning justice issues in the community, their understanding of the criminal justice system, and whether they believe crime is increasing or decreasing.
The insights collected will help shape both the Justice Action Plan and the corresponding delivery strategies.
Deputy Marc Leadbeater, President for Home Affairs, said: “While only a minority of people in any community directly interact with the justice system themselves on a regular basis, it is still an important cornerstone of society for everyone.”
Aspects that will be addressed include sentencing policy.
The survey is available here.
