The Revenue Service is hosting three drop-in sessions this month to help islanders complete their 2025 tax returns ahead of the 30th November deadline.

The sessions have been scheduled outside normal working hours to make it easier for people to attend. Two will take place on Saturdays and, for the first time, one will be held on a weekday evening.

The drop-in dates are Saturday 17th October from 8am to 2pm at the Vale Douzaine Room, Wednesday 28th October from 4pm to 8pm at the Vale Douzaine Room, and Saturday 31st October from 8am to 2pm at the Castel Douzaine Room.

No appointments are necessary, though the Revenue Service has advised that sessions tend to be busiest during the first hour. Anyone seeking help with online returns should bring their phone, tablet or laptop.

Additional drop-in sessions are available at Edward T. Wheadon House, Level 3, between 8.45am and 4pm on Monday 26th October, Monday 9th November, and Monday 23rd November.

So far, 14,538 personal tax returns for 2025 have been submitted. Reminder letters and emails will be sent soon to anyone who has not yet completed their return.

The Revenue Service has also published updated statistics on outstanding items at gov.gg/recovery, following last month's Revenue Service Backlog Report. The figures show continued progress in addressing the backlog.

Jean Mehers, Director of Revenue Service Operations, said: "We've hosted drop-ins on Saturdays before, but this is the first time we're holding one on a weekday evening as well, which is what islanders have told us they would like. This is about helping as many people as possible in the lead up to the deadline."

"We also wanted to let people know that reminders will be on their way soon. This way, if people are able to submit their return in the next few days, they can avoid getting sent a reminder."

"As promised, we've published our recovery statistics and will continue to do this every four weeks to give a transparent picture of the current situation. Since the last update, I'm pleased that we've cleared over 20,000 corporate tax assessments and issued over 1,000 repayments."
