The Bailiff's Chambers has announced the schedule for the Dedication of the Field of Remembrance and the Remembrance Day celebrations in Guernsey for 2025.

The Field of Remembrance will be dedicated on Thursday, 23rd October 2025, at 1pm.

The dedicated service, held at the War Memorial located at the top of Smith Street in St Peter Port, will be led by the Dean in the presence of the Bailiff, Sir Richard McMahon, and members of the Royal British Legion Guernsey, alongside representatives from various service organisations.

The Field of Remembrance will be arranged ahead of the Dedication, with the public requested not to place their Remembrance crosses in the Field until after the Dedication ceremony has concluded.

Following this event, Guernsey’s Act of Remembrance will take place on Sunday 9th November.

This will also occur at the War Memorial.

The event will commence with a bugler sounding the Last Post at 10.58 am, leading into a two-minute silence at 11am. Following the period of silence, there will be a short service and wreath-laying ceremony.

This Act serves not only as a commemoration of past service members but also expresses support for those currently serving.

The Parade preceding the Act of Remembrance is organized by The Royal British Legion on behalf of the Royal Court.

It will begin at 10.35am from the Town Arsenal, near the Fire Station. Participants in the Parade will include various cadet forces and local organisation standards.

The Bailiff has extended an invitation to any ex-servicemen or women to partake in the Remembrance Sunday Parade.

Those interested are encouraged to arrive at the Town Fire Station by 10.15am, or alternatively, can join the Parade upon its arrival at the War Memorial at 10.40am.
