Charities and non-profit organisations in the Bailiwick have less than one week remaining to apply for funding through the Social Investment Fund's Small Grants Programme.

Applications close at 12pm on Monday 19th October 2026, with grants of up to £15,000 available to support projects, activities and services benefiting Bailiwick residents.

The programme offers funding for one-off projects, capital expenses or running costs of up to one year's duration. Applications for salary costs within specific projects, usually lasting up to one year, will be considered, with other salary costs potentially approved on an exceptional basis for no more than one year.

Funding covers a wide range of areas designed to benefit people and activities across the Bailiwick of Guernsey. Eligible charities include those assisting people with specific needs, disadvantages or vulnerabilities; creating employment, education or training opportunities; protecting the natural environment, culture and heritage; improving community health and wellbeing; or making the community a more inclusive place to live.

Since its launch in 2021, the Small Grants Programme has awarded 165 grants totalling over £1.5 million.

Sadie Siviter de Paucar, lead officer of the Social Investment Fund, said: "If there are any charitable organisations that need funding for their 2027 activities, please submit an application to us within the next week. Help is on hand if you need assistance to apply."

Charities can complete and submit applications online through the Social Investment Fund's grant application portal. Full information about the grants programme and the application form is available at www.sif.gg/grant-programmes/small-grants-programme.

Organisations with queries about the programme can contact Estelle Day at estelle.day@gov.gg or 01481 223613.

The Social Investment Fund was established as a charitable company in 2020\. It invests in and partners with the charitable sector to enhance the lives of islanders, strengthen communities and deliver lasting impact for the Bailiwick.

Funding for the grants programmes comes from Guernsey's net proceeds of the Channel Islands Lottery and Guernsey Probate Registry, as well as a percentage of all seized assets proceeds.
