Environment & Infrastructure has approved changes to the island's bus timetable designed to enhance punctuality and reliability.
The committee has amended some of its original proposals after taking on board feedback from islanders, including the retention of some early morning journeys and routes.
As well as updating routes, it has decided to withdraw the P2 parish link and Route 60 .
Further consultation is now underway on a small number of updated proposals for specific routes. These include modifications to the inbound Route 61, which will provide a direct service from the West Coast to St Peter's Village. The committee is also proposing to retain a two-hourly service for Routes 93 and 94, maintaining a direct connection between the Airport and the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.
Islanders can review the updated proposals at gov.gg/bustimetable and are invited to provide their views before final decisions are taken.
Feedback should be submitted by 5pm on Sunday 21st June, either by email to [email protected] or by writing to The Senior Passenger Transport Officer, Driver & Vehicle Licensing, Edward T Wheadon House, Le Truchot, St Peter Port, GY1 3WH.
Once the changes to the timetable have been approved, they are expected to come into effect in September.
Deputy Adrian Gabriel, President for Environment & Infrastructure, said: "We've listened carefully to the feedback we received from bus users and the wider public, and it has been invaluable in helping us refine these proposals.
"We are pleased to be moving forward with improvements designed to make services more reliable and better suited to people's needs, while ensuring they remain deliverable at no net additional cost.
"We want to make sure the final timetable works as well as possible for the community, and I would encourage anyone with an interest to take this opportunity to review the updated proposals and share their views at [email protected]."
